The Prospective Principal Program is designed to prepare a select cohort of experienced 糖心logo入口免费观看 campus and district administrators to successfully enter the principalship. The program provides cohort members the opportunity to gain targeted, timely, and personalized professional learning with a focus on the qualities and skills needed to lead a 糖心logo入口免费观看 campus. Course content is aligned to the LISD Leadership Profile with the goal of operationalizing the LISD Superintendent goal of “ensuring a world class workforce focused on student achievement by increasing leadership capacity.”
Objectives
- To increase leadership capacity throughout the district by developing a cohort of school leaders who are prepared to successfully transition into the principalship
- To equip current campus and district administrators to lead diverse campuses and positively impact student growth as a principal in 糖心logo入口免费观看
- To facilitate professional growth for participants that positively impacts current and future leadership roles within the district
Cohort Selection
- Application window for Prospective Principal Program (P3) cohort will open mid-July, and remain open through mid-August; Interested applicants should apply through 糖心logo入口免费观看 Job Posting site
- Applications will be screened by a committee comprised of district and campus leaders
- Selected applicants will receive an invitation to complete a HireVue video interview
- Candidates selected for the P3 cohort will be announced after Labor Day
Cohort Criteria
- Master鈥檚 degree and administrative certification
- Hold current position as campus or district administrator in 糖心logo入口免费观看
- Three or more years of service as a campus administrator (including the year of application)
- Previous P3 members are not eligible to apply.
Program Components
- Face-to-face professional learning with 糖心logo入口免费观看 district and campus leaders
- Online learning component through Google classroom
- Seven, three-hour sessions throughout the year
